I learned to forage in Belarus before I knew it was herbalism
Olga founded Nurtur Health in Ontario in 2021. She is a Herbal Academy graduate, and she makes every batch herself.
Nettles in late spring, linden in early summer
I grew up searching for wild food with my mother in the fields and forests of Belarus — I just did not know that was what we were doing. Picking stinging nettles in late spring and fragrant linden blossoms in early summer were seasonal rituals. On long summer days we went out hunting berries and wild mushrooms. Foraged and lovingly dried chamomile, raspberry leaf, yarrow and plantain were always on hand to soothe, calm and regulate.
Why I started making my own
It began with a simple shift toward healthier living. Rethinking one part of my family's well-being led me to examine the others, and skincare was one of them. I wanted products made with clean, honest, plant-based ingredients, so I started making them. Along the way I discovered the quiet power of herbal infused oils: steep botanicals in oil slowly, for weeks, and you draw out far more of the plant than a quick blend ever could — richer, deeper in colour, more potent. That is the heart of every Nurtur Health product.
What we put on is an extension of what we put in
Skin is the body's largest organ. We can care for it from the inside out with better choices, and from the outside in with nourishing botanicals that are gentle and effective. My hope is that these products lighten your everyday routine — fewer unnecessary synthetics, more of nature's goodness — as they have done for mine.
Small-batch capacity, honest lead times. We work with a handful of Ontario shops, spas and clinics.
