Elderflower

Elder is a hedgerow tree whose flat white flower heads have been used in skin preparations across Europe for centuries. The flowers hold flavonoids including rutin, and the infusion is soft, faintly honeyed and very gentle.

Elderflower is infused for the Replenish Face Serum Oil alongside calendula, where the two share a reputation for gentleness.
Traditional use
One of the oldest European complexion herbs, traditionally used in waters and washes for the face rather than in heavy preparations.
