Geranium

Pelargonium graveolens · Geraniaceae
In one paragraph

Rose geranium is a soft-leaved pelargonium whose distilled oil smells startlingly close to rose, with a greener, sharper edge. It holds citronellol and geraniol, compounds it shares with true rose, which is why the two are so often blended or substituted.

How Nurtur Health uses it

Geranium appears in two Nurtur face products, where it rounds out the rose notes and adds a fresher, greener lift than rose alone.

Traditional use

Traditionally used in skin preparations for balance, and particularly associated with combination skin in the folk literature.
