Marjoram

Origanum majorana · Lamiaceae
In one paragraph

Sweet marjoram is a close relative of oregano but far softer in character — warm, rounded and slightly sweet rather than sharp. It holds terpinen-4-ol and is one of the more comforting herbs in the Lamiaceae family.

How Nurtur Health uses it

Marjoram appears in the body and massage oil, where its warmth complements the rosemary and basil without competing with them.

Traditional use

Traditionally used in warming massage preparations and in baths after physical work.
