Menthol crystals

Menthol crystals are menthol isolated from cornmint oil and allowed to crystallise. They are far stronger than peppermint oil, and dissolve into warm oil or wax. A very small quantity produces a pronounced cooling sensation.

Menthol crystals are used in the chest rub, where the cooling effect and the aroma of the vapour are both the point.
Traditional use
Used in rubs and inhalants for a long time, always in small proportion, and always where a distinct cooling sensation is wanted.

External use only. Not intended for internal use.
An essential oil. Never apply undiluted, and keep well away from eyes.
Always patch-test a new product before wider use.
Speak with a qualified practitioner before use in pregnancy, while nursing, on children, or alongside medication.
