Nettle
Urtica dioica · UrticaceaeIn one paragraph
Stinging nettle is a common perennial whose leaves, once dried or infused, lose their sting entirely. The leaf is rich in minerals and chlorophyll, and gives a deep green infusion. It has one of the strongest folk associations of any plant with hair and scalp preparations.
How Nurtur Health uses it
Nettle is infused for the Rosemary Hair Oil, where it sits alongside rosemary as part of the scalp-focused blend.
Traditional use
Traditionally used in hair rinses and scalp oils across Europe, and one of the most consistently recommended plants in that tradition.
