Flaxseed
Linum usitatissimum · LinaceaeIn one paragraph
Flaxseed oil is the richest common plant source of alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid. That same richness makes it one of the fastest-oxidising oils in use, which is why it appears in blends rather than alone.
How Nurtur Health uses it
Flaxseed goes into the face cleansing grains, where the ground seed contributes slip and a little gentle exfoliation alongside the oats and clay.
Traditional use
Long used as both a food and a finishing oil, with a cosmetic tradition mostly tied to hair.
