Grape
Vitis vinifera · VitaceaeIn one paragraph
Grapeseed oil is pressed from the seeds left after winemaking. It is the lightest of the common carriers, very high in linoleic acid, and absorbs almost immediately. Its lightness is also its limitation: it oxidises faster than heavier oils.
How Nurtur Health uses it
Grapeseed oil is used where the finished feel should be as light as possible.
Traditional use
A relatively modern carrier, adopted for its weightlessness rather than any long folk tradition.
